Outrage Over Betsy DeVos Scrapping Obama’s School Sexual Assault Policy
The Department of Education announced on Thursday that it will weaken a set requirements for how colleges and universities are expected to handle cases of sexual assault on college campuses.
Betsy DeVos is right. When it comes to sexual assault on college campuses, “we must do better,” she said in a speech today at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School.
I’m nervous about Betsy DeVos announcement. Title IX is so important not just for college students but for K-12 as well.

Title IX guidance surrounding sexual assault needs improvement. But Betsy DeVos isn’t trying to improve it – she’s dismantling it.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say that it’s possible Betsy DeVos might not fully grasp the history and context of Title IX

Betsy DeVos just made one of the worst epidemics impacting college students that much worse, wiping away college accountability.
What Betsy DeVos just did is repulsive. New York has the strongest protections in the nation and we stand by them. https://t.co/ncFotPMEcm
